This year, as part of the Fedora Mentor Summit 2026, we are proud to announce the return of the Contributor Recognition Program, with winners to be revealed at Flock to Fedora 2026. This initiative is a heartfelt way to acknowledge the mentors and contributors who shape our community.
Why Contributor Recognition Matters

The 2026 program aims to spotlight those who consistently go above and beyond.
Nomination Process and Guidelines
Everyone in the Fedora community is invited to submit nominations. Whether you are a long-time contributor or a recent joiner, your voice matters. To nominate your Fedora hero, please review the following guidelines:
- Eligibility: Any active Fedora mentor or contributor who has made a significant impact on the community.
- Categories: Two main award tracks — Mentor Excellence and Outstanding Contributor. Self-nominations are not accepted.
- Supporting information: Provide specific examples of the nominee’s contributions, such as leading workshops, improving documentation, or organizing events.
- Deadline: All nominations must be submitted by 15th May 2026.
